Ayodha Verdict - Read between the lines

The Ayodhya denouement finally reached to settlement on Thursday. The settlement made was between two groups- Hindus a Muslims. In the settlement 2/3rd of the disputed land was given to Hindu groups and the remainder portion to a Muslim group.

Scores of people lauded the decision given by the court but, also, there seems to be a few people those who were not happy with the final decision. I am amongst the latter ones. My main reason, particularly, lies in the idea of division. Since I have been following many news channels to get updated me with the current happenings on the verdict; I was keen on taking a verdict which came with an idea of an out of the box settlement. This ‘Panchayti Approach’ (as many have termed it) – that 1/3rd 1/3rd part of the land be divided amongst the respective groups in itself is a politically motivated act. Why I call it a politically motivated act is because neither of the party in this way can claim for the full ownership of the land and be half-happy or half-sad with the given verdict. Now if neither of the party is in a paroxysm of rage, there will be no sudden outburst of public anger or opposition (remember CWG and because of the proximity of Delhi or CWG stadiums from Ayodhya). In this way tranquility of Delhi can be maintained. Now, if I say that it was a settlement of anger not dispute I may not be wrong. Right.

I will further update this blog on the same issue.

P.S:- The land dispute verdict was seen by the country with equal inquisitiveness as shown by the country during an India Pakistan match.

Yes we can

While I still cannot picture the true state of CWG stadiums – which are already being delayed to renovate on time (not to mention they are not running short of time; time has elapsed) – I can surely state that there is something more than what meets the eye.

I say this because, well, before a couple of weeks back media was very active in giving out loopholes in arrangements made for CWG. There were all noise about the corrupt state of our politician and dismal state of our stadiums. Not a single official of CWG (INDIA) was left untainted. Even the not- so- relevant news became the breaking news of the day all under the guise of CWG news.

And this is ok (as this is their duty) but what is not ok is that you, certainly, cannot taint the reputation of a nation while doing your duty. Yes, we are a democratic nation – and no denying in the fact – but that does not give the right to anyone to misrepresent the country’s image in front of the foreign nations. Yes, we have suffered a financial misconduct in arrangements done for CWG but we are suffering more by attaching a bad name with the country’s name. We are losing good players, good name, good investments, good tourists and good money. Personally, we are losing our morals.

I think it is high time we get started building our nation’s reputation. And give ourselves a patriotic boost. Surely, we will gain something out of it. And, yes we can.

P.S.:-Indian’s lack civic sense. You know what to do.

Mr. Lalit Modi's dish

IPL is the flavor of the month. Cricket is the recipe. Controversies are the spices. Bollywood bigwigs- Sharukh Khan, Shetty girls- are the added salt to taste. Media is the serving plate and we all are the devourer.

But who is the chef? Who is putting all his culinary skills into it? Who is preparing it for the third time and serving it to the more mouths than ever? It is the chief chef of BCCI – Mr Lalit Modi. Mr Lalit Modi who has the formula for this secret recipe was doing all well in his private kitchen until he tried to add some extra masala to his dish- by adding two new spices to its ingredients list –sahara group and rendezvous  sports.
Mr Lalit’s reluctance
All was well, until Mr Lalit tasted the flavor of ‘rendezvous sports’ spice and found that it may give him a constipation –like  feeling if this spice was added to the dish(although he was reluctant of using it before, but he went with it giving the green signal to the suppliers of the spice). But to his dismay quantities of spice were already being transported to his kitchen. And now there is nothing he can do about it. So he directly tried to bribe the suppliers and demanded them to supply another quality of spice (i.e. to shift base to some another city and supply from their instead). The suppliers denied. Mr Lalit got infuriated at this and instead challenged the quality of the ingredients added to the spice (i.e. consortium of stake holders of the rendezvous sports). Also he disclosed the amount of ingredient added to form the ‘rendezvous sports’ spice (RSS)  on internet(twitter) and let their formula of making rendezvous sports spice come out in public. This disturbed the suppliers of RSS and they become adamant to stick to their position and the pot is still boiling.

Teen Fail Suicide Wrong

This piece of article is for one all i.e. all kind of human breeds- for you never know when you take inspiration from this (although some of you will rubbish it).

I was bound to write on this issue. What provoked me to write on this issue was the grief and pain of people those who are unable to bear the burden of their miseries (hence commit suicide) –failure, loneliness, conflicts, domestic violence, unfulfilled romantic ideals.
At the outset, I would share some hard realities related to suicides – facts, statistics.
  1. South India: worlds suicide capital
  2. Out of every three cases of suicide reported every 15 minutes in India, one is committed by a youth in the age group of 15 to 29.
  3. Over 100000 die by suicide in India every year; it alone contributes 10% of suicide cases in India.
  4. Kerala, the country first fully literate state has the highest number of suicides. Some 32 people commit suicide in Kerala every day.
Is this not sufficed to show you that this is a matter of grave concern?  Are they (those who commit suicide) planning their killings? Are they not normal? Are they not fulfilled –but who is then? Are they those unlucky ones who cannot feel the beauty of life? Are they? Aren’t they?

I have different answers to these questions. You have different answers. They have different too. But what is common to all these answers is the word ‘suicide’. Obviously I cannot tell what goes in the mind of people when they plan their unnatural death. But does not it make you uncomfortable; to know what they are thinking or what provokes them to take this step. Of course it is lack of ‘something’. But what is this something. Okay, tell me if this something is, say, success, recognition or money then does this ‘something’  infects an  11 year old child too?( as reported by TOI – an 11 year old reality show participant committed suicide -
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Student-suicides-rock-Mumbai/articleshow/5411277.cms). Does this ‘something’ is so monstrous that it takes away your life from you?  If the answer is yes, then is it so powerful that it can lead an 11 year old child to commit a suicide by hanging a dupatta to ceiling rod. It is shameful, but to whom – the question is this.

This is not all. I have myriad number of stories to tell. But what is more shocking to me is that it is the young dynamic generation of our country which is more easily giving up their life like this. The data speaks by itself –National Crime Records Bureau noted that out of every three cases of suicide reported every 15 minutes in the country, one involves a youth in the age group of 15 to 29.

The problem which I see with the younger generation of today is that of an unhealthy competition. The unhealthy competition such as for better pay package, getting into reputed college (IIM’S/IIT’S)-less seats-more test takers, uneven working hours (BPO companies), going abroad (aam admi’s dream), not having a boy/girl friend (or broken love relations), poor performance  or  any unfulfilled dream. Yes we all have sorrow and grief in life. They are inevitable and cannot be deleted from one’s life but at least we can try an overcome these miseries and be happy. As it goes – if you want to be happy, be. Also, I know the fact that we cannot completely overcome our grief but who says to do it completely; keep some of your grief files in the recycle bin. Isn’t it? Taste the flavors of life.

To end I have for you a very interesting link –http://www.metanoia.org/suicide/ this will surely be very good to read. Also I am looking forward to some suggestions and related stories that you have been through in life.

Baba Ramdev plays politics...

Baba Ramdev ji ki jai ho, baba Randev ji ki jai ho yaa Na ho??

Let us see.

Folks have you seen the news on Baba Ramdev ji, coming consecutively since last two days, on TV channels or in newspapers. If your answer is in positive, then by now you must have guessed that on what thing I will go and talk about. But, if you say no then I must inform you about the latest buzz. Okay, here I go. Baba Ramdev ji is so paranoid (personally my opinion) about his future in yoga teachings that he is now planning to enter in politics (Or he is been too bored of cleaning bodies of people that he now decides to clean the country’s mess). I do not know.

Personally saying Baba Ramdev ji has done an immensely wonderful job to bring yoga out of oblivion and making it so popular. It is beyond doubt that he is a great yoga teacher and made his teaching sessions free for all – which is a mark of great guru. But his news of entry into politics is certainly not appreciable. Ramdev ji you are such a good yoga teacher, then why do not you go and popularize it in the whole world, so that people who are suffering from deadly diseases around the world can took benefit of it and be cured. It is also a noble deed. Why getting into politics? Let it be the game of Sonia Gandhi, Manmohan Singh or Lal Krishna Advani. Why form a new party, when there is no dearth of political regional parties in India. I am not saying that forming a new party is bad but why you in politics. There is already so much responsibilities on your shoulder –popularizing yoga (remember I mentioned it earlier).

Country as complex as ours demands someone having a stature as dynamic as of Dr. Manmohan Singh or Mr Nitish Kumar or Mr Narendar Modi. They are well adept in their field of expertise. How can we expect a man who lack experience in the field of politics to run a political party or to have a say in framing a national policies. He may also, in all possibilities, can get a good number of votes – for 85 million people follow his yoga camps and after all devotes will be devotes that they will faithfully vote for his party. Not to mention, with keeping their brains shut. If babaji can claim for in Toto eradication of corruption from India then for God sake why he gets into controversies concerning corruption - Allegations of unlawful manufacturing practices (use human and animal bones in their medicines), Claims of curing AIDS, Claims of curing cancer. Some of the issues raised by him (where you decide whether it is justified..?) are: division of Uttar Pradesh into 3 parts, Opposition to Homosexuality. Also, some of the goals stated in his Bharat Swabhiman Andolan, a mass movement campaign launched by him, are quite conservative - 100% boycott of foreign companies, adoption of ‘swadeshi’, 100% yoga-oriented nation, We will 100% boycott foreign goods made with zero technology and adopt indigenous goods.

Baba Ramdev ji we respect you. We appreciate you for what you have done(giving a ray of hope to those who suffers from some of the very painful illness). We are proud of you. But I will truly demand from you that you please be focused in your yoga teachings. Let politics be the game of others.

Baba Ramdev ji ki jai ho, Baba Ramdev ji ki jai ho yaa na ho..you decide

i could not bell the CAT... so what??

Before you begin reading this article one thing I want to make it very clear; that this article is solely, whole-heartedly for those who were not able to bell the cat (IIM’s) this time and are in mood to give it a more trials. And for all the new ones who are making their brains ready to play cat n mouse game – for cat will remain be a computer based test (CBT).

I begin my story

I began every single day with a hot cup of tea and with my books – for I was preparing for the most dreadful exam since six months before that exam. I lucubrated into nights, took coaching classes, bought a new laptop (you know why), attended extra classes, gave mock cat’s and enjoyed the whole learning process. Really, I enjoyed. This routine of mine became my lifestyle. I was very much sure that I will certainly come out with flying colors. Finally, I gave my ordeal on 4th of December. I was happy after the exam; not for it happened to be my good exam ever but for I just gave it. It really does not matter much to me whether I will get into the top 10 or not but what matters to me the most is that I gave my 100% okay 99.99%(c’mon this is enough to get a call from the IIM-A).

But what if guys if i could not make it through. Do I have any other options –race it again, plan to do my MBA from a foreign country, work with some company or an NGO, suicide, poison, and kill Samir barua (IIM-A director). Hold aside these options for the time being and think what you are really made for. Think of your interests, think what you like and follow that. Do what you love. But please do not think of giving you a second, third, fourth, chance – for there are much better things to do in life. Okay, my die-hard CAT takers can go for the second try but no further please.

Go for what your dil says not what your intellectually powered uncle.
Okay,Tell me what will you choose?
A) Your love (gf/bf) to marry you or
B) A girl/boy of your mamma’s/maussis/ chachies choice

My answer is (A) – lock kar diya jaye. What about you. This is your choice in life. You definitely want jocund life after all. Go for that. Go for love. It will, I am sure, give what you long for – riches, prestige, a nice spouse, learning, knowledge, wagera-wagera and above all happiness.

Therefore, no need to pour money into the iim’s bursary by registering for the next CAT. Instead give yourself a treat that you have saved your papa’s money or give some  money to cyber cafĂ© wala and spend time writing blogs and share your experience – for I love this and doing it( not getting money obviously),but enjoying. And of course I would like to share my cat score with you guys which is 78%ile but still happy after giving my 99.99%. And for now I am  happy, cheerful, focusing on college projects, looking forward for opinions.
